Children's Special Events

Our VBS is directed by Mrs. Val. She has a cheerful attitude and loves children. VBS runs for a full week each evening during the third week in July. Each night the children learn catchy music that they love to sing over and over again. Outside is where they burn off some excess energy by playing prepared games. You know we can’t forget the snack time. Speaking of snacks, we cater to food allergies too, so be sure to let us know if your child has certain food allergies. Children really enjoy the craft time; you never know what you’re going to make. During all of this fun, they are still hearing of God’s word, seeing it on the walls, and in the actions of others. Even though God’s word may be plastered to the walls, there is still time set aside to focus just on the Bible lesson or story point for that particular night. It is during this time that children get deeper into God’s word and feel more open to ask questions. Pastor Charlie is available to talk with children about salvation all through the week.

*Please note, due to Covid-19, the 2020 VBS is cancelled. We hope to resume in 2021.

Our Christmas play practices start the first Wednesday evening in November and run each Wednesday until the actual play; with one Saturday afternoon practice being thrown in the day before the play. The play itself is usually held in the evening a Sunday or two before Christmas. Mrs. Amy is the director, and she seems to have limitless patience. She wholeheartedly enjoys the kids and thoroughly looks forward to working with them for the play.

*Please note, due to Covid-19, the 2020 Christmas play is cancelled. We hope to resume in 2021.

Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 11 am-3 pm in the church parking lot, we will have a Fall Bash. This will be a free community event where you can just drop by any time.

The 11:00 start time is just right to fill hungry bellies. We will have grilled hot dogs and sweet treats.

Come out with your children and work together as a team while you play games. If you fall down during the sack races, you can cool off during the water balloon toss. If your child works up a sweat in the bounce house, they can chill out with a snow cone. Yep, you can have one too.  More games, crafts, and activities to choose from as well. This event will add good memories to your family memory bank.

As you prepare to leave for the day, don't forget to take home your goody bag and any crafts that you made.

We do hope you will stop by, visit, talk with us, and join in on the fun.
